Races

Human: Adaptable and resourceful, humans are found throughout Noctaris. Their versatility and determination have helped them survive demon infiltration.
Half-Demon: Born of human and demon unions, possessing enhanced stamina and natural affinity for blood magic. Often viewed with suspicion by both societies.
Fae-Touched: Descendants of forest spirits with enchanting features and natural charm. Their presence can subtly influence emotions.
Shadowkin: Humans transformed by dark magic, with partly translucent skin that reveals shadowy essence beneath. Masters of stealth.
Glow Elves: Tall, elegant beings with luminescent patterns on their skin. Known for heightened sensory perception and natural grace.
Dragonblood: Humans with dragon ancestry, possessing scaled patches of skin and inner heat. Resistant to magic and naturally intimidating.
Spiritbinder: Humans who have merged with spirit entities. Can partially transform body parts and communicate with otherworldly beings.
Quarterling: Diminutive folk with nimble fingers and surprising resilience. Their tiny 2-foot-high stature makes them easily underestimated, but their cunning and luck often turn the tables in their favor.

Classes

Sensation Mage: Spell casters who manipulate physical feelings and emotions. Can induce euphoria or agony with a gesture.
Blood Hunter: Warriors who use blood-infused weapons to track and defeat demons. Resistant to demonic influence.
Sacrifice Knight: Armored fighters who draw power from their own suffering, converting personal harm to strength in battle.
Frenzy Warrior: Primal fighters whose combat prowess increases with emotional intensity, entering trances of unstoppable fury.
Essence Thief: Stealthy rogues who can drain energy from living beings to fuel their own magical abilities.
Enchantment Bard: Performers whose music and dance can entrance audiences and manipulate emotions.
Transformation Cleric: Religious devotees with the power to purify or transform bodies and souls through ritual.
Alchemist: Masters of scent-based magic who can trigger strong emotional and physical responses through crafted elixirs.

Backgrounds

Former Court Servant: Escaped or freed from noble service, with knowledge of high society's secrets and hidden motivations.
Wretch: A miserable soul with nothing but tattered rags and determination. Weak of body but strong of will, surviving against all odds in a world that has shown no mercy.
Fallen Noble: Once-privileged aristocrat who lost everything to Lysandra's machinations, seeking revenge or restoration.
Bathhouse Attendant: Worked in the famous Crimson Bathhouse, privy to gossip and skilled in reading people's needs.
Street Alchemist: Self-taught mixer of potions and elixirs from the back alleys, specializing in mood-enhancing concoctions.
Arena Survivor: Former competitor in The Pits, bearing scars both physical and mental from brutal public spectacles.
Demon Cultist: Previous member of a group worshipping demonic entities, possessing forbidden knowledge and rituals.
Royal Guard Deserter: Escaped before full demon corruption, hunted by former comrades but knowledgeable about castle defenses.

For five years, the crimson-skinned demoness Lysandra has been pulling the strings in Noctaris from behind the throne. What began as whispers of a foreign advisor has become a reign of corruption. The once-just ruler now sits hollow-eyed on the throne, a puppet to Lysandra's will, while demon-infused royal guards patrol streets with hungry eyes.

Those who oppose her vanish—or worse, return as mindless thralls. The resistance grows desperate. Prophecies speak of a champion who will either succumb to Lysandra's influence or overthrow her entirely. Perhaps that champion is you.
